how to calculate percentile in neet?? google showing that 40th percentile is required for obc candidate for mbbs???? is that all wrong??????

Hello there,
This is how percentile is calculated:

NEET Percentile = Your NEET score * 100 / NEET score of the topper
For example,
Assume, A has secured 550 marks in NEET and the highest marks scored that year is 650, then the percentile of A can be calculated as follows:
(550*100)/650 = 84.61

The information you found in Google was about the minimum cut-off percentile which a candidate should score to be qualified in the NEET examination. It is mandatory for the candidates to secure the minimum qualifying marks for NEET 2020 to qualify the national level offline entrance exam. This cut-off percentile is 50 percentile for the general category and 40 percentile for the reserved categories.

This is just for being qualified in the examination. But for getting a seat in your preferred college, you need to fulfill their criteria and score within their cutoff percentile.
