Hello

If you want to know your percentile then calculate your exam score by total score multiply with 100. Then you can get the percentage of your score. Most of the cases percentage is not required. Rank card has your your scored marks & your Rank it is enough at the time of counselling.

Hope this will be helpful

Good Luck.

Percentile system is worst. They should give our marks that will fare to every student beacause one get 80 percentile and other get 22 percentile but there score is same.its just nonsense

Hi,

This is one probable method to calculate the rank:

413284 students appeared for the exam. To calculate the MHT CET rank, you first need to know the percentage of people ahead of you with higher percentile scores. To calculate that, the formula would be 100 which is the highest score minus your percentile score.

Since the percentile is calculated from a scale ranging from 100 to 0, the formula applies the total number of students which is 413284 /100 multiplied by the percentage of people who are ahead of you to arrive at the rank.

Therefore, the formula to calculate the rank is

Probable Rank = (100- percentile score) X 413284 /100

If percentile score is 90.70, rank will be (100-90.70) X 413284 /100 = 38435

Therefore 38435 will be the probable rank

To build further on this since ranks will be separate for PCM and PC, I shall take the exampls of PCM. So 276166 students appeared for the exam. Since the percentile is calculated from a scale ranging from 100 to 0, the formula applies the total number of students which is 276166 /100 multiplied by the percentage of people who are ahead of you to arrive at the rank. Therefore, the formula to calculate the rank is Probable Rank = (100- percentile score) X 276166 /100 So if your percentile score is 90.70, rank will be (100-90.70) X 276166/100 = 25683

shouldnt it be multiplied by 392354, because though 413284 people registered, many did not attend the exam so..

Man u just can't multiply by 413284U need to multiply by the number of students who are opting for PCM OR PCBTHERE ARE FEW ONES FROM PCMB WHO WILL TAKE PCB OR PCM SO ROGHT NOW  YOU NEED TO.WAIT FOR RANK . THAT'S IT .Rank list of CET will come only after all students fill up the 1st phase form and documents verification procedure completed. It should come by around 3rd week of June.

In many articles or videos, they have given wrong calculations to determine rank. Let me show you how you can calculate your rank  Total number of students appeared for the mhtcet 2019    -     3,92,345Total number of students appeared for PCM group           -     2,76,166Total number of students appeared for PCB group            -     2,81,154  The generalized formula used by cet cell to determine percentile is -  percentile score -           (100 * no. of students having normalized score < candidate)                                       _________________________________________________________                                         Total no. of students appeared for the exam in particular group  from the above formula we get the value of " no of students having normalized score < candidate"lets take it as 'x'. from this we can calculate the rank as rank = Total no. of students in particular group - x  lets take an example to clearly understandfor pcm groupif the candidate's percentile is 90, then his rank would be 90 =  100*x         _______         276166 x= 248549 therefore,  rank = 276166 - 248549                          = 27617 therefore his rank would be 27617.
