How to calculate top3 or top 4 for du admission

In order to get an admission in colleges of Delhi University, you would need to calculate your best of four and then see if the percentage secured in best four matches the cut offs of your respective field.

In order to calculate your best four subjects, you need to have One Language core/elective/functional. If you are applying for a specific Hons. course, make sure that subject is also included in your best four. For instance, if you want to pursue an Hons. Degree in History, you must include History subject as one of the subjects in your Best Four . Otherwise, 2.5% would be deducted from your overall percentage of best of four subjects.

All the subjects included in best four must be under CATEGORY A , meaning 70 or more marks for theory and 30 or less marks for practical.

Bengali

Botany

Chemistry

Commerce

Computer Science

Economics

English

French

Geography

Geology

German

Hindi

History

Home Science

Italian

Mathematics

Music (With Exception of ECA Quota and if you wish to do an Hons. in this field)

Physical Education (with exception of Sports Quota and if you wish to do an Hons. in this field)

Sanskrit

Sociology

Urdu

Zoology

Legal Studies

Accountancy is considered equivalent to Commerce for the institutions that does not offer Commerce. Biology, Biotechnology and Business Studies  would be treated as academic elective subjects.
