Till a year ago, DU offered 5% amount to five of the seven sections — guard faculty killed or handicapped in real life, the individuals who kicked the bucket in harmony time with death inferable from military assistance, those debilitated in harmony time during military help, and beneficiaries of heroism grants. The cut off is not specific for defense quota. you can contact Secretary, Kendriya, Sainik Board, Delhi related to the quota cut off.

Under the CW quota, DU and DTU offers 5% and 10% quota respectively to five of the seven segments — defence personnel killed or disabled in action, those who died in peace time with death attributable to military service, those disabled in peace time during military service, and recipients of gallantry awards.

Authorities who are competent to issue educational concession certificates under CW category reservation in DU:

• Secretary, Kendriya, Sainik Board, Delhi
• Secretary, RajyaZilaSainik Board
• Officer-in-Charge, Records Office
• 1stclass Stipendiary Magistrate
• Ministry of Home Affairs (for Police personnel in receipt of Gallantry Awards) for quota in DU
