Hello Kandela,
Home state quota is applicable to colleges under the JEE Main criteria, in which the colleges like NITs/GFTIs provide somewhat lower cutoff to their homestate students as compared to students from outstations.
Now depending upon your rank, and the state in which you live in/or passed class XII will be considered your homestate. You will get some benefits such as lower cutoffs for admission and 50% reservation of seats.
The rank you have achieved in JEE is your AIR/CRL , but no seperate rank for homestate is given. It is just that a student gets benefit of the home state.
Example,
If you have AIR 1500 and from Delhi,
NIT delhi cutoff(hypothetical)
HS-2000
OS-750
Then being a hs candidate with your AIR you will get admission into NIT Delhi.(hypothetical example).
