How to check percentile in jee mains
Hello Sir. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will publish JEE Main 2019 Paper 1 Result and percentile score on the official website on April 30 for the second phase (April session) of the exam. JEE Main 2019 April exam was held from April 7 to 12. Paper 1 for BTech courses offered through JEE Main was held in online (computer-based) mode on April 8, 9, 10 and 12, while Paper 2 for BArch courses was conducted on April 7, 2019. Both the papers of JEE Main was held in two shifts, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM (morning shift) and from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM (afternoon shift). So, the total number of candidates who appeared for JEE Main 2019 January exam was around 8.74 lakhs. The exam was conducted on four days in two slots (4 days x 2 slots = 8 sessions in total). So, approximately 1.09 lakh students took the exam in each session. Note that the JEE Main 2019 results/scorecard mentions only the NTA score for each subject and not the subject-wise marks secured by candidates. The percentile score displayed against each of the subjects and the overall percentile score is calculated up to 7 decimals using a pre-determined formula. So, to convert your JEE Main Percentile into a Rank, you need the following figures:
Your NTA score
Total number of students who have appeared for the exam
Percentage of students below or equal to your marks
Percentage of students above your marks
Number of students above your marks
The formula to calculate JEE Main 2019 Rank from Percentile Score is:
((100 – P)/100)*N + 1
