There is no getting around the fact that you have to make this choice yourself. But I can only offer you my opinion.

The only way you can realize what you really want to do in life is to try it out. And choosing to do one of these things now, doesn't really shut the possibility of moving into the other in the future.

You would be baffled by the number of ECE engineers who are Software engineers, Chefs or into sports.

I also feel that I should warn you. Doing something for fun and doing something as a job are completely different things. You might love something, but having to do it as a job might destroy it for you. For example, you love to cook. You probably like to experiment with your dishes. Probably the fact that gives you satisfaction about cooking is the experimentation. But a professional cook must cook what the customer ordered. Cooking the same thing again and again, day in and day out could lead you to hate your job or worse, hate cooking for the rest of your life.

So dont make decisions in haste. Leave room for experimentation.
