The post of Loco Pilot is a promotional post and the direct recruitment is on the post of Assistant Loco Pilot. Assistant Loco Pilot is promoted to the Senior Assistant Loco Pilot post and then promoted to Loco Pilot level.
Eligibility for assistant loco pilot:
1. Candidate needs to have qualified matriculation or equivalent qualification in any stream from a recognized board or university.
2. Candidates must have completed Act Apprentice or ITI pass or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering from an institution recognized by AICTE.
3. Age limit:18-28
