Both B.Tech and B.Arch are very good course but you have to choose one according to your interest as well as your performance.
B.tech is 4 years course. India Produces 15 lakh engineering graduates every year. 30-35% out of the 1.5 million engineering graduates passing out every year run the risk of not getting a job at all. There are total 10K seats in IITs and 18K seats in NITs. Few private colleges like BITS, VIT, SRM, Manipal, Amrita etc. are also good for b.tech so if you are getting b.tech in these type of college then it's worth to do.
B.arch is 5 years course and If you have taken admission to a course in architecture, be prepared to imagine, visualise, design and create. Architecture is a confluence of arts and science. It is a very interactive course where students are encouraged to come up with ideas. It stresses on subjects from the fields of arts, engineering and technology to the professional practice of architecture.
Top colleges for B.arch:
1. School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New Delhi
2. JJ school of Arts and Architecture
3. IIT Kharagpur
4. Centre for Environment Planning, Ahmedabad
5. Sushant School of Art and Architecture, Gurgaon
Chandigarh College of Architecture
6. Guru Nanak Dev University, Punjab
7. IIT Roorkee

After passing out, one can practise on his/her own after getting registered with the council of architecture which grants license for practice. They might also start working with an architectural firm or under the guidance of a well-established architect.
