After the declaration of results of Jee Mains if you will clear the cutoff you will appear for the josaa counselling by the authorities of Jee Mains and you have to appear in that online and choose your college and if you are eligible you will be alloted the college and you will be called for verification of your respective certificates...

1.You need to apply for jee advanced in respective we website with valid details as in jee mains.After a month of preparation the exam would be conducted.
If you score above advanced cutoff you can apply for counselling in IIT 's.
2. If you fail to achieve advanced cutoff or you are unable to attend advanced exam.
There will be jee mains counselling conducted by Jossa based on your jee mains marks.

As you have gave Jee Mains examination and now want to know how to choose college.So, once the results are declared after that you will be invited for counselling where you have to register online and select your colleges .If you cross the cutoff of the particular college and branch you will be provided that college and certificates verification will be done...
