See there is no any hard & fast rule for covering of syllabus but it depends upon the ability of person to read and concentrate and how much focus he/she can devote to the topic which he/she is studying now. So the best and efficient way to complete any chapter is to read thoroughly the chapter and then practice question related to that chapter whether those are numericals or theoretical questions, solve them without the solutions and once you feel confident about that chapter then you can proceed to next chapter. This strategy is not applicable only for JEE-Main or any particular examination but for every examination throughout your life.
