You’d require a BITSAT score of 382/450 to study CSE in BITS Pilani!

Keeping your current preparation in mind, I wouldn’t say that cracking BITSAT would be a piece of a cake!

But I’ll be honest here. Make a kickass preparation strategy and put in your best efforts, and I’m sure you’ll crack BITSAT with a score much higher than the cut-off.

You say that you have only average knowledge of physics and math. Here’s how you can go about the preparation for these two subjects:

For Physics,

• NCERT should be your bible. Study it in and out. Make sure your fundamentals are clear.
• Practice solving numerical problems in less time as speed is very important in BITSAT.
• Mechanics and Thermodynamics are very crucial to physics. So, make sure you study them thoroughly.
• Learn the formulas well. They should be at your fingertips. Keep revising them until the last moment. Many questions can be solved by the direct application of formulas.
• While solving questions in physics, emphasize on dimensional analysis. Also, use common sense here, you’ll be shocked how simple some questions will turn out to be.
• The physics section is tougher than chemistry in BITSAT. So, if you study this subject well, you can have an upper hand over the other students.

For Math,

• Study Coordinate Geometry, Calculus and Complex Number very diligently. These are some of the most important topics in BITSAT.
• Students often tend to forget formulas in Trigonometry and Cartesian Geometry. Study them well. Their formulas may come handy even in direct formula application questions.
• While solving previous year papers, try using trial and error as well as substitution methods to solve questions where you’re stuck. They might be helpful in a number of cases.
• Even math formulas need to be revised every day.
• Math is the most crucial section of BITSAT as it contains the maximum marks.

Now coming to chemistry, I see you haven’t touched organic. Well, the good news is that the questions from organic chemistry are of the textbook level. Here’s what you should do for chemistry:

NCERT is very, very important for BITSAT chemistry. There are direct questions asked from this book. Don’t leave out any topic in NCERT. Questions are often asked from those small sections which students often tend to overlook.

• Chemistry paper is highly theoretical. Also, it is considered easier than math and physics. Read the theory well.
• Inorganic is tough when compared to organic and physical chemistry. You may study from OP Tondon for inorganic.
• Questions in physical chemistry are also of the textbook level. A study from NCERT.
• At the last moment, students confuse with the increasing and decreasing pattern of different properties and anomalies. Practice them well.
• Memorize reactions. The important reactions should be at your tongue tip.
• Study the extra portions of the BITSAT syllabus well. Lots of questions are asked from them.
• In the end, I would like to add that invest some time in the preparation of English and logical reasoning as well. The questions are very basic, which makes this section really scoring.
