You can crack by regular study. Focus on your weak points and practice a lot. As far as the books are concerned, you can check the top list of JEE books on Quora: https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-list-of-books-to-refer-for-IIT-JEE-exms/answer/Ankita-Gupta-374
Start reding good standard books.
Always make your own notes and revise concepts daily
Solve all last year question papers
Be expertise in the mostly asked questions
Its never too late for anything.
Jee mains is an entrance exam conducted by the premier technological institutes of the country. Every year over 10 lakhs of students appear for the exam from which only 50000 students get selected for those institutions.
Such is the competition. But as I said, its never too late.
Start preparing. Make your base on 11th and 12th very strong. Go beyond your academic book. Solve harder problems. Focus on PCM aggressively. Manage time. If you want there are coaching centres that provide the related studies. You can join them. Work as much as possible. Solve previous year papers.
This the root tip for cracking jee mains. I have seen my friends do these who even cracked the jee advanced. Be sincere.
Best of luck!
