How to entr into iisc banglore ug i have completed 10+2 should i take kvpy exam if then what is the procedure and how should i approach that
The institute has decided to not burden students with an additional IISC Entrance Test. Admission will be using merit list of national level entrance exams KVPY,JEE (Main and Advanced), and NEET.
So, you have to take one of those exams & clear the exam & after that get the admission in IISC Bangalore.
IISC Bangalore provides 4years UG Program which is researched based program.
- Eligiblity Criteria :
- Candidate must have completed class 10+2 or equivalent exam in 2018 or is going to complete it in 2019.
- Candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as main subjects in 10+2 with other main or subsidiary subjects.
- Candidates who have studied Biology, Statistics, Electronics, Computer Science, etc., in addition to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are also eligible to apply.
- Minimum marks that candidate should have secured is first class (60%) in qualifying exam. For SC / ST candidates, this relaxed to pass class.
- Form fees :
General : 500 & reservesed category : 250

Indian Institute of Science (IISc) is a public university it offers education in the area of science & research.
This is a reputed college and has a lot of exposure .
Well The admission into these courses will be based on entrance exams of JEE Main, KVPY, GATE, NEET, JAM, etc. And yes KVPY is one of them .
Now there is an eligibity criteria for the same which is as below :
1. You must have to pass 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics ( PCM) as the main subject from a recognized board.
2. If you have done biology for any other additional course along with PCM then also you are eligible for this . But PCM is necessary
3. You have to secure minimum 60% in the qualifying examination
So once you have cleared the KVPY cut off for iis:
1. Based on the rank of KVPY fellow, Offer letter will be sent to you by email for the KVPY-SA, SB and SX streams respectively.
2. Then, a counselling session will be held for the same in the IISc campus.
3. The participation in the counselling session is mandatory for confirming the seat in the Bachelor of Science (Research) Programme.
4. You must carry a copy of the offer letter and provisional fellowship award letter from KVPY at the time of counseling.
