Central Agricultural University (CAU) offers courses to aspirants at undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) level. Programmes offered at CAU are in Science stream. The University comprises of seven colleges which include a College of Postgraduate studies.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria for UG Courses
General category students meet Central Agricultural Universitys eligibility criteria to secure admission in UG courses if they have cleared their Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate marks in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics and Agriculture. For SC/ST/PH/In service category students the minimum aggregate percentage to be eligible for admission is 40%.

Admission Process for PG Courses
The admission process for postgraduate courses is such that aspirants are shortlisted for admission basis merit in qualifying degree exam as well as nomination by ICAR.
The official website informs: Candidates with Bachelors degree in concerned/related subjects from a recognised university with OGPA of 6.00 out of 10.00 or equivalent percentage of marks are eligible for admission to the Masters Degree programmes. SC/ST candidates with OGPA of 5.50 in the Bachelors degree shall be eligible for the admission.
