Currently IGNOU offers 227 academic programmes through 21 schools and 67 Regional Centres spread across the country.
As you have not mentioned the subject you want to take admission in let me tell you in general.
- Admissions to courses like BA, B.Com, B.Sc., BCA, BSW, BAVTM, etc are based on merit that is scores obtained in 10+2 or its equivalent.
- BLIS admissions are based on scores in bachelor’s degree or one year Diploma in Library Science are eligible to apply.
- BBA in Retail (RL) admission is based on merit. But BBA in Service Management (SM) admission is based on entrance followed by interview
- As per the semester examinations, IGNOU Delhi conducts Term-end Examination twice a year i.e. June & December
- There are walk-in-admissions throughout the year for Bachelor's Preparatory Programme and all Certificate Programmes [Except Certificate in Rural Surgery (CRS) and Certificate in Teaching of Primary School Mathematics (CTPM)]
- For Management courses, an entrance test viz. OPENMAT is held twice a year
- Bed is done through entrance test.

Indira Gandhi Open University gives admission to students in two batches every year one in July and the other in December. You need to register for the same on the official website of IGNOU. However, IGNOU conducts entrance exam for admission in few courses. So you need to check the eligibility criteria and admission process for the course you are interested.
