There's no concept of free mbbs seat. Even in government medical colleges , there's fee structure but it is very low when compared to private colleges. For example Aiims Delhi mbbs fee is only around 6k for the whole mbbs course. So, there's nothing like free seat but yes there might be fee reimbursement schemes depending upon your category, your college, state & your category.

Admission in all the medical colleges for MBBS be it government or private  is through Neet examination.

Here's how you can get admission in MBBS :-

----------------) Appear in Neet examination

• To be eligible for neet one must be either appearing for  12th board examination 2021 or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology /biotechnology in 12th examination  if belongs to general category , or   at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to  Obc/ Sc /st category. ----------------) Qualify neet examination. Qualifying cut off in neet is given below

• General :- 50th Percentile

• OBC:-  40th Percentile

• SC :-40th Percentile

• ST :-  40th percentile

To be on the safer side, out of 720 marks, target at least around 580 -630 marks for state quota seats and 650 marks in neet for All india quota seats if you belong to general category.

----------------) Participate in neet counselling. There are 2 counsellings -

• Mcc counselling :- It is conducted for 15% AIQ seats, 100% Deemed Universities seats, Central Universities  seats (Delhi University, AMU & BHU ), 100% ESIC seats , AFMC  seats (only Registration Part) & I.P University (VMMC & SJH AND ABVIMS & RML & ESIC Dental, Delhi (15% AIQ + 85% Institutional Quota ) ,100% AIIMS seats & 100% JIPMER seats

----------------) In the counselling, you can get a seat in a college on the basis of your rank in NEET examination and the category you belong to .
