How to get into top colleges for btech in merit that is less fees?

There are some private colleges or universities take admission for B tech courses without entrance examination. But taking admission without entrance examination in private colleges or universities for BTech courses can you should have highest marks in 12 science examination that is at least above 75%. And the colleges which take admission without entrance examination some of them also have a system of less fees structure.
