how to got place in Indian space research organisation (isro)?
Hiiii
You can get job in ISRO through ICRB exam. If you passed ICRB, then you will be shortlisted for the interviews.
ICRB (ISRO CENTRALISED RECRUITMENT BOARD) recruit the candidates by conducting the written test which is only for MECHANICAL ENGINEER(ME), ELECTRONICS ENGINEER(EE) and COMPUTER ENGINEER(CSE). Candidates from other departments like civil, aerospace, chemical, etc are not permitted for this exam.
You may visit their web-site at ISRO - Government of India to register their applications on-line.
Vacancies are dynamic in every year. Last year vacancy for electronics were 42.
Area of Work: Scientists/Engineers
Eligibility: BE/B.Tech or equivalent qualification in first class with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10 .
Last year they even conducted the test twice. The syllabus of it is almost same as that of GATE exam(microwave engineering, computer engineering is included too),where as maximum questions appear from Electromagnetics,Transmission lines,Antennas,Microwave engineering whose level is less tougher than GATE.
You can consult the following books for preparation :
- Analog Electronics - Sedra & Smith
- Signals & Systems - Oppenheim
- Electronic Devices - Streetman
- Digital electronics - Anand Kumar
- Network Theory - Van Valkenburg
- Control System - Benjamin Kuo
- Communication Systems - Simon Haykin or Proakis(Both are equally good although I prefer Proakis for its simplicity in language)
- Microwave Engineering - Samuel Liao
- Use ACE Academy “ISRO previous years questions solved” collection to get an idea of the pattern and also the difficulty level of the questions.
- For more practice purpose go for Schaum Series books or you can refer to any GATE Preparation books(eg. R.K.Kanodia).
Hope this helps.
Thanks!
