hi ranjana, i have been where you are, lemme tell you this, try to aim just to score above average in your board exams and concentrate well on NEET, if you do it really well and properly you could easily clear boards, try to sync your academic curriculum along with neet chapters if possible, for instance if they teach you animal husbandry in class today, go back read that from ncert as well as coaching institute materials, and solve as many questions as you can,. hope this helps, good luck

Hi Ranjana Ranjan

Here are the way how you can start studying smartly for NEET and Boards

  • Introspect yourself :- make a checklist that what you know already and what you have to know for the NEET. Go through the syllabus once and check your level, that from where you have to start.
  • Plan the Journey :- After Introspecting, Start from the very basic and plan out the journey for the whole syllabus a set some deadline for yourself so that you can progress in a pre defined manner.
  • Never Give Up :- It is the golden rule to achieve the goal. Build up yourself and your confidence not to give up even in the hardest situation. THink positive, talk to positive people, ask queries, make mistakes and learn from all these things. Stand by your decision and motivate yourself time to time.

Here are Some GOLDEN tips for the preparation of NEET

  • Firstly, gather all the details about the officially prescribed syllabus for the examination.
  • Make a proper time-table for your preparations.
  • Follow the time table strictly and increase your potential day by day.
  • Consider the good preparation books and study materials.
  • Practice mock test & previous year question papers.
  • Make mistakes while practising, and correct them and never repeat them.
  • Never give up even at your low time.
  • Stay stress free & healthy while preparing for exams.
  • Don’t try to include new topics at the end of preparations.

All the best

Don't focus much on board because as the syllabus for the 2 is same so there must be no issues with doing just ur neet preparation and doing board syllabus just before exams .

Hello, As you said you are in 12 std...so you will be attempting NEET UG 2018, which is around 5 months from now...so you have to make your own study plan and follow it properly with dedication and PATIENCE

1. Know your syllabus, in board you have same pcb of

12 that is in neet, and two more subjects

2. Know timing of exams, Board exam is on march first week will continue till april first week then you will get 1 month only for NEET

3. Devote 30% in board and 70% in NEET, you have to score 60% to qualify for any medical entrance...

4. Make time table of self study, you have now almost 95 days for board exam and after exam 30 days for NEET..

5. Give most time for NEET in month of Dec and Jan

6. In feb devote most time for Board

Hope this helps!....BEST OF LUCK

Namaskar Ranjana. Thank you for asking the question. We at Career 360 will help you to solve queries as possible. Consider that the 12th board exams are a net practice for your final T-20. Boards and NEET are not discordant. NEET is just a multiple choice extension of the teachings of the Board. You have ample of time preparing for your exam. Along with the Board Textbooks, I suggest these books for your studies:

1. Physics: HC Verma for theory and Universal Solutions for MCQs

2. Chemistry: NCERT textbook for theory and Arihant Publications for MCQs

3. Biology: Trueman Publications and NCERT book for theory and Universal Publications for MCQs.

This will help your conceptual base become clear and as well as your practice in solving MCQs. Live Long and Prosper. Nitish Nadkarni.

Hello rajashri,

Study the concepts in depth, don't read superficially.

Try to clock 100 hours a week.

Maintain your health

Sleep is crucial, else you'll get exhausted before time.

Form a study group, discuss with friends

Stay motivated.

No pain no gain, you won't get this opportunity again. Make the most of it.

Donot waste time, invest time.

Revisions are the most important

It is said that hand written notes are well remembered than printed material, make your own notes, keep reading it again and again.

The best books you can refer to are the NCERT,

For biology, refer the following.

1) Trueman's Biology vol 1 and vol 2

2) Dinesh- Objective biology

3) Pradeep publication Biology

4) GRB'S Publication Biology.

For Physics refer to he following books.

1) H.C.Verma - Concepts of Physics.

2) D.C Pandey - Objective Physics.

3) Fundamentals of physics by Walker

4) Problems in Physics by I.E.Irodov

For chemistry you can refer the following books

1) O.P Tandon - Physical Chemistry

2) Morrison and Boyd - Organic Chemistry

3) Modern ABC's of chemistry

4) J.D.Lee Inorganic chemistry

5) Dinesh

Ncerts are mandatory to have, refer the rest of the books and find out which one suits you. I would advice you not to buy all the books but to refer them and see which one is better for you.

In the end it doesn't depend upon which book is better but how good can you understand the concepts

Also, for the general knowledge subscribe magazines, they will be useful.

Hope this helps.

Goodluck!

Hello Ranjana

Managing both is not easy I know but at the same time it is not difficult.

You just have to make up your mind.

Make a timetable. Give time to both neet as well as boards. Most of the topics are linked so it becomes easy to study.

Criteria for neet is to qualify your board with 50% abv if u belong to general category.

So dont neglect your boards
