Hello, hope you are doing well!

Preparation tips and tricks for CMAT Exam-

There are three sections of this exam-

1. Language Comprehension

2. Logical reasoning

3. Quantitative ability & data interpretation

For Language comprehension

Language comprehension part is included in CMAT to examine the aspirants' basic language of English. It includes grammar, tenses, reading comprehension etc. To prepare for this section all you need to do is to find your school grammar book or buy a new one exclusively for CMAT preparation and just revise your basic grammar and practice the comprehension questions from the book. Go through the dictionary everyday and make a target to learn a specific number of new words each day. Watch English news, movies and read books in English, talk to people in English; all this is suggested to make you feel at ease when you are attempting the section in your examination because if you stress out in this part of the exam, you won't get much time in other parts of the exam. Also, make sure every time you are practicing this section you maintain a time limit for each question. If you ace the game of time in this part you can use time to think and answer in the other parts of the exam.

For Logical reasoning

Logical reasoning (or just “logic” for short) is one of the fundamental skills of effective thinking. This section is there in almost every competitive exam. This is done to check the logic and reasoning capability of a candidate. You need to solve a lot of questions and practice is the only mantra to make you crack this section. You can go through previous year question papers and solve them, you can look for logical reasoning questions online and also get a book for logical reasoning. Solve sudoku, crosswords and puzzles in the newspaper. Look for and solve patterns in daily life stuff. Think creatively. There are topics like, patterns, relations, dates, clock timings, situations, puzzles, Coding and Decoding, Deriving, Conclusion from Passages, Drawing Inference, Number Test etc. Solve questions in all these topics.

For Quantitative ability and Data interpretation

This is another very important section for any competitive exam. This is a section in which your mathematical and statistical ability is tested. You will be asked to solve basic mathematical problems like algebra, geometry, arithmetic ability, linear equation etc. In data interpretation you will be given certain data related questions where you need to interpret them and draw conclusions out of it. You have to be calculative and quick at solving these type of numerical and mental ability questions. So, be calm and practice and revise all such questions.
