Hi,
NTSE Total marks consists of MAT and SAT sections. NTSE syllabus for stage 1 and 2 includes topics to be covered for the two sections namely Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). The MAT section will test your thinking ability, reasoning etc. while the SAT is further divided into three sub-sections namely Science, Maths and Social Science. Preparation Tips:
Know your Strengths & Weaknesses - Work on your weak areas and hard on your strength to obtain an overall good score.
Follow NCERT Books - Follow NCERT books of classes 9 and 10.
Strengthen your MAT Section - The MAT section tests your mental ability. Practice a lot of Mock tests to get an idea on the different styles of queations asked.
Work on your SAT Section - Follow NCERT books and strengthen your GK.
Solve Sample Papers - A lot of NTSE sample papers are available on the internet. You should aim to solve at least 3 mock tests a week within the stipulated time so that you can improve your speed and know the sections that consume more time.
Analyze your performance and keep practicing till you succeed.
