hello,

BITSAT is easy when compared to JEE, but since you say you have done veryless preparation, it would be a little difficult to crack. Obviously you cannot crack any exam without preparation. So I will just say that you should start your preparation from today itself and then hope for the best. You should try and solve the BITSAT ten years papers book and also go through the syllabus once again.

hope it helps!

Hello Anuj,

Following are some general preparation tips:

1. Study Plan

Having a proper BITSAT study plan will help you have a good perspective and not panic at the last minute. Besides, managing your time efficiently will be possible only through strategic planning and regular practice. Begin by narrowing down the syllabus to important topics for BITSAT. Clear your basics for the entire syllabus and then master the important topics.

2. Regular Practice

As you finish a chapter, you need to solve JEE/BITSAT practice questions. Practising regularly on Embibe will help you get real time tips and feedback! You will, especially, improve your speed as you can see how much time you are spending on each question. This is one of the best ways of how to crack BITSAT. Improving your speed is very important as in BITSAT, you have to answer 150 questions in 3 hours. Focus on your strong concepts first to gain the confidence you need.

3.Mock Tests

Keeping in mind that BITSAT is an online exam, you need to be well prepared for the same. Hence, Embibe helps you prep through its free online BITSAT mock tests. The questions are of the same difficulty level and pattern as the real exam. Follow the test feedback diligently to see your score improvement.

4. Thorough Revision

Regular revision of the entire syllabus, not just your weak chapters and concepts but also the ones that you have mastered, is a must. After practicing on Embibe, you can check your ‘Attempt Summary’ which will pinpoint areas of improvement. After taking a test, test feedback will be generated which will analyse your performance and suggest topics for revision, making you better test-takers. As you revise, focus more on the weak chapters and the important chapters to strengthen your concepts.

5. Personalisation

Embibe ensures a personalised approach towards exam preparation be it for an average student or a prospective top ranker. As you study, practice and test on Embibe, you will experience personalisation that will translate to guaranteed score improvement.

I hope this was helpful. All the best.

Try starting the small but important units of physics; especially those which are in second volume NCERT of class 12th. Semiconductors, Atoms, Dual nature of matter, wave optics etc. These small chapters usually give easy marks to a candidate. You don't have to work very hard on these , reading NCERT chapters a couple of time (with proper understanding) would be enough. And for easy understanding of topics you can watch videos of Pradeep Kshetrapal. (I got 21/100 in physics in 11th and his videos helped me a lot and I secured 98/100 in physics in 12th board exams.) You can get very coherent concept clearance from him. Next you can find out the trend of questions being asked and work on it. And for 11th not much can be done as the time is very limited; even if you plan to complete that your other subksubj will suffer. But try to cover the first unit of Class 11th physics properly. It's an important and comparatively easy chapter. Now for the rest of topics I would say that avoid giving them a lot of focus. But topics like heat, thermodynamics and waves can be read a couple of times and in case you get lucky you'll get theory based question from them. And remember every mark counts .Focus on the other subjects. Maintain your strength and let them cover for your weak points. And keep cool while attempting the paper, negative marks are sharks. Avoid them. KEEP PRACTICING PREVIOUS YEARS QUESTIONS!!!!I wish you all the best Anuj.

Thanks a lot Prashant,I want ask this last question where i can find topicwise questions so that i can practice as in previous year papers everything is mixed up which get me confused what to study or not every single time and lastly what books should start with. For now im revising only from NCERTs (Maths and Chemistry), will that be enough? And lastly by 11th I meant all 3 subjects I know a 2-3 chapters of chemistry and maths each, can you give me a little guidence in that part. Thanks again for your great help.

I think NCERTs will be sufficient for revision work but it is important to keep on practicing your game and for that you either buy some books that have chapterwise questions like "preparatory guide to bitsat" and all (most of them are good as all provide you with questions you need to practice. Or pick any book having chapterwise questions for JEE mains or VITEEE or similar level exams. You can get a substantial amount of questionn in these. And for the unprepared part, well you can still study a couple of important chapters in them but remember NOT AT THE COST OF WHAT IS ALREADY PREPARED. Revision is important.
