As you already know, studying daily is essential for NEET.

As far as chemistry is concerned, it is relatively an easy subject to prepare. Daily preparation of 1 to 2 hrs is enough for it.

But, if you feel hard in studying chemistry you have to concentrate more on it and increase your study time by 2 to 3 hours minimum per week.

If you can't understand the subject, approach others who know or your teacher in your school or coaching class.

All the best.

It's about how smartly you prepare for your exams. Which also counts in how much time you have to appear for the exam If you are in 11th then study school stuff for 2 hours and do MCQs for 2 hours If you are in 12th then study for boards for 4 hours and do one mock tests daily (3 hours) If you have done with your boards and are waiting for the neet do 3 to 4 mock tests daily. Just give more time to chemistry but don't ignore other subjects.

Hey abhishek...

What ever your source of reading may be

Divide your subject into 3 parts..

1. Organic chemistry

2. Inorganic chemistry

3. Electro chemistry

Focus on individual parts and concentrate on ua week part..

Read theory before solving previous question papers..

Solve as many as papers you can...

Then success is yours...

Hello bud! Cracking Chemistry in NEET is easy job if you understand concepts (solving questions will help in enforcing your concept) especially in physical chemistry. For inorganic you need to mug up. Take some pain in doing it, you will enjoy once start good results. Organic depends more or less mugging up and understanding concepts. So here you have prepare good notes and keep revising them.

Ultimately it is amount and quality time you spend with  subject that helps you in building it up.

All the best!

Hi Abhishek ! According to me, you must read & learn NCERT line to line , its not only for chemistry but also for Physics & Chemistry , Becoz NEET cover most of questions from NCERT , After completing NCERT you should Solve previous year question papers it will help you to increase your confidence & make time management. Hi Abhishek!

Please don't worry! I recommend studying NCERT very thoroughly, especially all the Named reactions of  organic chemistry.

Practice MCQs as much as possible. To clear concepts, try ABC chemistry. For NEET prep, you can use 40 day chemistry by Arihant.

Feel free to ask any more questions. Hope this helps!

I would recommend the following books

1. Read NCERT thoroughly

2. R C Mukherjee for questions on mole concept

3. P Bahadur for physical

4. O P Tandon for physical and inorganic (I did organic from O P Tandon)

5. Dinesh Chemistry for MCQ

You can also refer to your tuition notes.

Try to do the MCQ in fixed time. Might increase your interest.
Use colour codings to learn formulas and structures. You can use this to learn organic equations also.

Hello Abhishek,

The best books to refer to learn chemistry are

1) NCERT chemistry.

2) O.P. Tandon- Physical Chemistry.

3) Organic Chemistry by Morrison and Boyd

4) consider inorganic chemistry by J.D Lee

5) Modern's ABC for Chemistry

6) Chemistry by Dinesh

I would advice you not to purchase all the books, refer these books and choose the book which suits your convenience. More than how many books you have studied, good score would depend upon the number of times you have revised.

Practice the concepts and understanding the subject.  Chemistry is interesting. But if you find it boring then make ways to make it interesting. Discuss it with friends. Stay motivated. Remember the long term goal and work hard. Keep taking practice tests.

Goodluck!

Hope this helps.

Hii.. So, I will tell you how i used to study chemistry. I scored 166 out of 180 in chemistry in NEET 2016. Firstly, go through the concepts given in NCERT books and your notes. Secondly, take a reference book (I opted for Dinesh) and solve questions, those questions which you cannot solve, just check their solution and try to understand the concept. And in this way you will just rock in the main examination.
All the best:)
