Dear Aspirant,

CMAT or Common Management Admission test 2020 is a national level postgraduate exam for management. It happens once a year and is conducted by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) Here is how to prepare for CMAT. It is a 3-hour computer-based exam with multiple choice questions. The exam is on January 28, 2020.

Here is how to prepare:

  1. Believe in yourself. Boost your confidence levels and know that you will be able to do it.
  2. Practice a lot and revise a lot. Don't try new things. Know what works the best for you and follow it. Don't just learn but revise your concepts again and again.
  3. Try mock tests and previous year question papers and analyse your performance of the basis of that. Also, check the time you are taking for the various types of questions and get habituated to your methods of solving them.
  4. If you are stuck on one question, do not waste your time on it. Move on and come back to it if there is time left.
  5. Spend time to prepare your current affairs for the general awareness section.
  6. For the Quantitative techniques and Data Interpretation section, select the topics which are your weaknesses and work on them. You can try shortcut tricks to solve certain questions to save time. Data interpretation is a mirror to your decision-making and analysing ability. Take notice how you are doing it.
  7. Logical Reasoning is easy to score if you know how to use your brain in the right direction. Try solving different difficulty level problems to get it running. A quick revision will help you score better in this section.
  8. For better Language Comprehension, try to read as much as you can.
  9. For General Awareness, have a quick look on understanding the recent government schemes in the areas of the economy, environmental issues, news related to finance, sports, politics, social issues, major corporate events, famous awards, world records and international news. Most questions are asked based on the recent news, so beware! Read newspaper or watch videos on youtube.
