CSIR-UGC (NET) Exam for Chemical Sciences will be held on June 17, 2018, tentatively. To prepare for the exam, first thing you should know about the exam pattern of the exam. Given below is a quick gist of the same, along with the links to model question papers for Chemical Sciences and the syllabus. Note that, you will be awarded 2 marks for correct answer in Part A & B and 4 marks in Part C. T here will be negative marking of 1/4 for every wrong answer.
The CISR UGC NET Exam for Chemical Sciences will be divided into three parts, as described below:
Part A: It will be a common paper for all the subjects consisting of questions from General Aptitude, General Science, Quantitative Aptitude and Research Aptitude. There will be a total of 20 questions, out of which you will have to attempt 15 questions.
P art B: This paper will be subject specific, Chemical Sciences, in your case. There will be a total of 4 0 questions, out of which you will have to attempt 3 5 questions.
Part C: This paper will also be subject specific, but will test the application of the concepts. There will be a total of 60 questions, out of which you will have to attempt any 25 questions.
