Dear Aspirant,

As you have two years to prepare for the exam, I suggest you should focus on the subjects which are currently there in your semester syllabus and in GATE syllabus also.

Moreover, you don't need to study for long hours, just couple of hours everyday will be enough.

Then when you are finished with the subjects in your semester, practice questions based on those subjects from previous year papers. Make separate notes of these subjects and all important questions.

Make a thick notebook (spiral if possible to add pages in future) so that you can culminate everything in one place.

In semester breaks of your last year, in 2021, prepare for subjects and do not use them as vacation. You can use your current breaks for fun, internships, travelling, etc.

Try to get over with your syllabus in 1.5 year, and in the final semester, when GATE is just 6 months away, focus on your test series only.
