Hello Dhipak,

There are two possible ways to prepare for any examination -

  • Join Coaching Institutes.
  • Self Study

If it’s your first try for a competitive exam then I would recommend you to join a good coaching academy in your area. By doing so, it would be easy to understand the pattern and to get used to long sittings. You can also get the best books recommendation through such coaching academies.

The self-study way is recommended for those who have already been through such institutes and have a fair idea about the pattern, books, and the study plans. There are a lot of resources online if you want to prepare for Group 4 examination.

You can read the newspapers, special current affairs magazines, online forums for help. Many institutes also provide online test series and mobile phone applications that should also be beneficial in your case.

If you want to study online, you can easily get previous years TNPSC papers for Group 4 Exam. It is recommended to strictly follow the Group 4 syllabus else you may end up reading a lot of unnecessary content.

Hope this helps.
