First of all as you said that you are in class 12 and hoping to pass your class 12th board examination with 50% but if you want to get admission in good college like NITs, gftis , IIITs then you should try to get at least 75% in your board examination or at least 65% if you belong to Sc or St category or you should be at least in top 20 percentile of your board examination. Although even if you get only 50% you will be still eligible for JEE Mains examination as there is no percentage barrier to be eligible for JEE Mains.

Coming to jee preparation, it's completely ok if you are targeting your JEE mains 2022 and have wasted your class 11th and class 12th as there are many students who do start their preparation after class 12 taking a drop for jee examination like you and not only prepare but get selected into good engineering College as well you can do the same, all you need to do is be honest and dedicated towards your studies .

Follow the below tips to prepare well for your JEE -

* first of all make routine or timetable :- you can make a routine and try to give at least around 8 hours to study.

• PHYSICS is the toughest part for most of the aspirants as it has both numericals and concepts to deal with , so keep at least 3 hours each day for Physics.
• In Chemistry you have to deal with reactions and learn them and solve questions as well, so give at least 2 hours daily to Chemistry
• Mathematics is all about practising questions, so try to give at least around 3 hours each day for maths

* Plan your studies, and set daily, weekly and monthly goals to cover the syllabus and meet them without any fail.

*Revise your concepts, important formulas etc at regular intervals, like once in a week or 15 days .
