Hello Arun Gupta,
KVPY and JEE are literally poles apart . But if you are interested in both you can attempt them, there is no problem.
Actually all matters is your interest. KVPY is for research line students and JEE is for technical purposes. If you want to go in research field then you should attempt KVPY. If you want technical line i.e engineering then you should clear JEE.
You can prepare for both the exams simultaneously very easily as the syllabus for both of them quite same .But you have to finish the course by the month of September to confidently appear in KVPY. For that I will suggest that solving the previous year’s KVPY papers will do a lot. After clearing the aptitude you will be shortlisted for interview that is very crucial.
For preparing for JEE more concept clearance is required and problem solving ability should be enhanced. Practice papers, solved papers of previous years will help the most.
All the best!!
