Mahesh,

The MHRD has come up with a new schedule for JEE Mains, JEE Advanced and NEET 2020. JEE Main examination will be held between 1st-6th Sept, JEE advanced exam will be held on 27th Sept & NEET examination will be held on 13th Sept. And NTA has opened the correction window from July 4th to July 15rh. You can read our article https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-application-form-correction . At this point in time, this is the information we have. And if you are preparing for JEE Mains, you can try our Knockout package: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-jee-main-april/ And because you have 2 more months to prepare for JEE Mains, you may as well use this opportunity.

You need to know your syllabus and understand the exam pattern. Make a plan and stick to it. Make a note of the books to refer from and practise as many mock tests or sample papers as you can. Also you can follow our timtetable: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/time-table-for-jee-main-preparation

Divide the syllabus into Class 11 and Class 12 and the topics as "Need to Learn", "Weak" and "Strong". Now it is important to check the weightage of each topic. In Physics, Modern Physics take the top slot with 5 questions. Heat and Thermodynamics, Optics, Current Electricity, Elcetrostatics get 3 questions each. Magnetic has 2 questions and the rest get 1 question each. In Chemistry, Transition Elements and Coordination Chemistry, Periodic Table and Representative elements take 3 questions slot. Thermodynamics and Gaseous state, Atomic structure, Chemical Bonding, Chemical and Iconic Equilibrium, Solid State and Surface Chemistry and Nuclear Chemistry and Environment get 2 questions slot eacch and the remaining get 1 question each.In Mathematics, Co-ordinate Geometry gets 5 questions. Limits, Continuity and Differentiability, Integral Calculus get 3 questions slot each. The rest get 2 and 1 questions slot. For complete breakdown, please read our article: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-syllabus-weightage . Once you complete a topic, try to practise the concepts and write down the important points and paste them somewhere that you can see. Practise questions from that topic. Refer to books like:

Concepts of Physics by HC Verma

Fundamentals of Physics by Halliday, Resnick and Walker

Understanding Physics by DC Pandey

Problems in General Physics by I.E.Irodov

Understanding Physics by Freedman and Young

Problems and Solution of Physics by Shasti Bhushan Tiwari

Keep telling yourself that you can. That is important

Make sure you improve on the speed in solving sample papers and quizzes

Take online mock tests

Focus on acuracy and speed as well

The MHRD did inform that the syllabus for both JEE Mains and NEET will be reduced for the year 2021 as the Academic year has been reduced due to Corona pandemic. The MHRD has not yet officially announce the syllabus but has requested suggestions regarding the topics that can be reduced for the Academic year 2021. Even the Board syllabus is going to be reduced. And if you are preparing for appearing for JEE 2021, we would suggest you to stick to NCERT books for now instead of buying any book. Not atleast until NTA releases the official revised syllabus. Because no body knows what the reduced syllabus is. So instead of buying various books available in the market, you should stick to NCERT books and prepare from them regularly. Once the official syllabus has been announced, then you can start preparing accordingly and purchase books. But now will be too early.
