How to prepare for legal aptitude section in CLAT
Honestly just read up on cases, avail the use of Legal Aptitude books online (especially those that have MCQ's behind them so youve got a lot to solve). Try taking sectional tests on Law thats usually available on various CLAT prep sites like (time4education). Oh and read not just about Law and the Principles but about the Constituition as well.
Hi,
Common Law Admission Test is conducted for admission in 5 year integrated BA/BBA/Bsc LLB program in various National Law Universities.
The CLAT exam consist of 200 multiple choice questions in which 50 questions are from legal aptitude.
The questions test your reasoning ability and inclination towards law. In legal reasoning questions a principal is given and a situation is followed by the principal, the candidate is asked to pick the right option keeping the principal & situation in mind.
Though it isn't necessary but a basic theoritical knowledge of legal topics such as torts, constitution, criminal law, law of contracts, family law, IP law etc would come in handy while solving such questions. The legal aptitude material of CLAT Possible coaching is very nice and if you are unable to get that you can refer AP Bharadwaj.
The key to score in Legal Aptitude section is practice. Try to practice at least one set of 50 questions everyday and do a proper analysis of the mistakes.
Thank You
All the best!!
