Hey!

Hope you are doing well

1.CET is your primary focus:Preparing for CET in a month is doable if you dedicate all your time to it for a month. With the volume of content you have to cover, you need to dedicate an equivalent amount of time. Something that's impossible if you do not cut down TV/ Social Media/ Meeting friends and other distractions.

2.Chalk out a good plan:This tip is a clich and at the same time an indispensable part. Without planning you will have to keep thinking about what you have to do next. Decide what to study, which material to use and at what time so that you can focus on just studying. Don't get overwhelmed if you deviate a little. As it is said, the plan is not important but planning is. Adapt to unprecedented circumstances!

3.Do not micromanage:Just split time equally among all your subjects but do not micromanage with respect to how much you have to cover in a certain time. Just set a time to study. Show up, start and focus.

4.Take short breaks:Take short breaks at regular intervals but do not engage in any distractions. Take a walk, meditate, drink water or have a small snack. Consciously choose to stay away from anything that has the history of throwing you off track.

5.Get enough sleep:Set a time for sleep and create a routine. You cant study the next day if you are worn out from yesterdays preparation. Moreover Sleep is very important for your brain to function adequately.

6.Make up your mind:You must believe that you deserve a good score and that doing all of the above is going to help you. Without this nothing you ever try is going to be effective.

Good luck

Maharashtra – Common Entrance Test (MH-CET) is a test conducted annually by the State Common Entrance Test Cell of the Government of Maharashtra. It is the criterion for admission to first-year full-time degree courses of Health Sciences (MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BPTh, BOTh, BASLP, BP&O and BSc. These tips should be able to help you provided that the exam format is not changed drastically.

MH-CET Must-do Topics Physics:

Kinetic Theory of Gases and radiation; Atoms, Molecules and Nuclei; Oscillations, Rotational Motion, Electrostatics, Electromagnetic Induction, Magnetic Effects of Current, Semiconductors, Wave Motion.

Tips to Boost Your Preparation
  • MH-CET shouldn’t pose much of a problem to candidates who are already preparing for other competitive exams like JEE Mains and Advanced. This is because the exam has been and is expected to be a notch lower in difficulty level than JEE Mains .

  • It is important to know the syllabus well. CBSE applicants must look out for the topics in MH-CET syllabus that are not covered in CBSE and study them. Particularly in the case of Physics, one finds that topics like Semiconductors, Interference and Waves have some extra theory that should be prepared separately.

  • The Chemistry exam of MH-CET is considered to be easy by most standards. Although I personally don’t recommend it, but learning Inorganic Chemistry equations and reactions by heart can prove to be really helpful. Direct questions based on equations and reactions are bound to be asked, and having them etched in your mind will help you save a lot of time during the exam. It is better that, while preparation, you maintain a handbook that contains all the formulae and equations. Make it a point to note down a new formula in this notebook whenever you come across one and also to revise these at end of each day.

  • During your preparation, divide the available time equally among all subjects. All the subjects will carry roughly the same weightage in relation to qualifying marks. Biology requires a lot of revision as even minor facts from nooks and corners of the syllabus may be asked. Given the vast syllabus, it is better if aspirants start to prepare for Biology at least 5-6 months before the date of exam.

  • It is found that many students face problems dealing with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) even if they have prepared quite well. Practice in solving MCQs can help greatly in this cause. Solving MCQs from the various practice books available in the market would be a wise decision.

  • Make sure that you solve previous year’s papers and sample papers for MH-CET 2018. It would give you an idea of how the paper might be. Timing your sessions to  3 hours and simulating exam day conditions can also be a good exercise while preparing for the exam.

  • MH-CET Mathematics exam has been found to be lengthy many a time. Hence it is important that you improve your speed-solving skills. Solve as many questions as possible before the exam, and make sure to progressively enhance your speed by timing the working time for each problem.

Always remember that it’s is good practice to routinely take breaks from preparation as this will help in releasing all that accumulated tension and stress. This quality might prove very useful as the exam day approaches. Attempt Mock Test.

It is important to always maintain your calm and put your best into the preparation without being concerned about the result .
