To prepare for NTSE examination , students should start completing the syllabus of Class 9th & 10th. Follow the given NTSE Preparation tips -

Hello Atharva,

Thanks for reaching us, Regarding NTSE examination, It will be organized in two sessions on the very same day.

The first Stage will take place in Two Parts: Part I: Mental Ability Test (MAT): 50 Questions of 50 Marks: Time 45 Minutes

Part II: Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) comprises of- Language Test: 50 Questions of 50 Marks in 45 minutes Mathematics: 30 marks, Science: 35 marks & Social Sciences: 35 marks Total 100 questions of 100 marks in 90 minutes,to prepare for NTSE stage 1, you should go through the state syllabus of 8th, 9th and 10th classes. For stage 2, I would suggest you stick to the NCERT books (again of 8th, 9th and 10th classes). I personally did not require any other reference material. Be very thorough, don't skip anything, not even the descriptive text below images. Remember the labels on diagrams. Do not neglect Social Science as it constitutes a large part of the paper. Practice MAT from previous year papers; McGraw Hill is also good for the same. Try to increase your speed as you go along. As the test now includes English as a compulsory paper, improve your language if you feel that you're lacking (even though it's only for a qualifying score).

Be calm. Among all the national level exams out there, NTSE is one of the easier ones. Prepare well in advance. Keep a cool head. Write well.
