hi sonika, you still have 5 months time and if you work smart, you can really score well easily, i will tell you how to prepare

Physics and chemistry- physics is considered one of the toughest subject for medical aspirants, but very interesting. choose any good book of your convinience, there are plenty of good books as many mentioned already. read the concepts thoroughly, understand them cover to cover, if you have doubts, clear them then and there. solve atleast 300 to 500 questions per chapter, check ,analyse and rectify your mistakes. solve again. the more you solve the merrier.initially you wont be getting many correct answers, but as you keep on doing am sure you will see your score rising. solve previous question papers too

Biology- in neet around 300 marks are from ncert text book itself, thats how it was when i gave my exam, so u need to thorough ncert first and then read any good book of your choice and solve as many questions as you can, always stay calm , cool and confident, hope this helps good luck buddy

This is a good time to start preparing for Neet 2018

I would recommend you to join some Institute like Aakash or Allen which would help you groom in the process.

However the mainstay of preparation still remains solving MCQ learning formula their application for physics, equations and organic reactions for chemistry and an in-depth thorough knowledge of biology.

Books like op Tandon in chemistry SL Arora in Physics and Rastogi in Biology or any of the NCERT books as well as the study was given by the aforesaid Institutions are a great help in achieving search knowledge via daily practice. MCQ books like Dinesh and Arihant are also of help.

I would recommend you make notes of these formulae facts and equations in separate copies go through them revise them on regular basis and start giving time bound mock examinations making mistakes correcting them and rectifying yourself before the final examination as well as time management to attempt maximum questions correctly and leave minimum number of dubious questions unattempted is the key to success in neet.

Hi Sonika

This is the very best time to start preparing for NEET , as by this time, you are having a sufficient amount of time to prepare well without any stress and the productivity is maximum in these situations.

  • Practice mock test & previous year question papers.
  • Make mistakes while practising, and correct them and never repeat them.
  • Never give up even at your low time.

Hello Sonika,

Preparing for any competitive exams happens over time. You need to get your resources and start doing as many revisions as possible.

Try to study 100 hours a week.

Learn the concepts. Emphasis on it.

Keep doing many MCQ's.

Start a study group with two/ three friends. And keep discussing

Revise your concepts. Revision are the most important even if you have studied a little.

The best books you can refer to are the NCERT,

For biology, refer the following.

1) Trueman's Biology vol 1 and vol 2

2) Dinesh- Objective biology

3) Pradeep publication Biology

4) GRB'S Publication Biology.

For Physics refer to he following books.

1) H.C.Verma - Concepts of Physics.

2) D.C Pandey - Objective Physics.

3) Fundamentals of physics by Walker

4) Problems in Physics by I.E.Irodov

For chemistry you can refer the following books

1) O.P Tandon - Physical Chemistry

2) Morrison and Boyd - Organic Chemistry

3) Modern ABC's of chemistry

4) J.D.Lee Inorganic chemistry

5) Dinesh

Ncerts are mandatory to have, refer the rest of the books and find out which one suits you. I would advice you not to buy all the books but to refer them and see which one is better for you.

In the end it doesn't depend upon which book is better but how good can you understand the concepts

Also, for the general knowledge subscribe magazines, they will be useful.

Hope this helps.

Goodluck!

Hii Sonika,

As per your query about duration I would like to mention even from today i.e. 21/11/2017 its more than 5 months means more than 150 days..

It would be better to start preparation for NEET and state board together(if you  are  in 12th class) 30% time for state board and 70 % for NEET....

Some strategies that you should inherit to boost your performance

1. Make you own time table ,other than that of coaching - Shorter and achievable small targets

2. Focus on limited books - NCERT + Some reference (Allen Modules in your case)

3. Solve MCQS daily in a time limit - Understand where you are doing most mistakes, Correct it, retry

4. Understand all options of previous year MCQS ...As EXACT question is not repeated BUT related questions are....

5. Have patience and be positive

6. POSITIVE SURROUDING - Discuss with friends who can help you stay positive not the one who brings negativity

7. Maintain your health

Above points will definitely help you

Regards
