Hi student,

The competition for UPSC and SSB is so tough that you need to be fully dedicated towards the goal. First talking about UPSC, its syllabus is much larger than SSB. So first of all get all the standard books for UPSC for, economy, polity, indian art and culture, ethics and integrity, ancient and medieval history etc. Read these standard books thoroughly. Also regularly read the newspaper, The Hindu. Make short notes of current affairs. Also read the NCERTs of economics, politics and history of class 6 to class 12. After that practice writing essays on various topics. Stick to the syllabus mainly. Do not waste Time reading out of syllabus things.

As far as SSB is concerned, it has two parts, technical paper and non technical paper. Fot technical paper you need to choose one of the paper from which field you graduate, like electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, etc. For non technical, you need to be in good health with no physical problems like flat foot knock knees etc. Also you need to prepare for group discussions, word ability, picture description etc. Mainly stick to the syllabus.

If possible then take help from online resources. They are free mostly and very helpful.

Hope it helps. Ask us if you need further assistance.

Good luck.
