Hello! UPTU or AKTU is a state level entrance exam of the state Uttar Pradesh. UPTU exam is much easier than JEE Mains . The main part that differentiates AKTU entrance exam with many other exams is that it does have negative marking. Preparing for AKTU needs more of smart studying than of hard studying. To get a good rank in AKTU you can refer to the tips given below

• Make a time table that you will follow: What I mean by this is that make a time table is that make a time table that you know you can complete and not the one you know  that you will not be able to finish but make it anyway. Unrealistic goals and time table can lower down your confidence and will to study and these are the things you need the most while preparing for an entrance exam.
• Know your NCERT: UPTU is a comparatively an easier exam than many other, so the questions you get are based on NCERT. Pay attention to what is been taught to you in school or your tuitions and that will help you for your UPTU preparation.
• Attempt all the questions: As you know there is no negative marking in UPTU entrance exam, your first aim in the paper should be to attempt each and every question of the paper irrespective of the fact that you do not know the answer to the question or do not have the time of attempting the questions.
• Practice previous year question paper: This point is very important as it will give you the proper idea of the exam pattern and what type of questions you need to prepare for.
• Give yourself breaks: Study hard but don't push yourself to the limit where your mind and body both become tired to the extent that they are not able to give any output. Work in breaks, take proper breaks while studying and give yourself time to analyze every topic
• Have confidence: The biggest thing to crack any entrance exam is to have confidence in yourself and the belief that you can do it and you will definitly achieve it.

Once you download the syllabus, try to study the topics mentioned in the syllabus in the best possible way you can. Instead of solving too many questions, try to study the topics mentioned. I'm not saying that you should not solve questions, do solve the questions but only after you study the related topic properly.
