Hello,

As an engineering aspirant, your biggest worries are probably how to prepare for entrance exam, and how to prepare for board exams. While it is undoubtedly your hard work and determination that will lead to success, several other factors are necessary to be kept in mind during exam preparations. Here i will specifically talk about VITEEE 2018 exam preparations.

Students from all over India take VITEEE to get admission in VIT University Vellore,Chennai,Amravati,Bhopal campuses. Level of competition is high considering the large number of test takers (more than 2 lakh).

  • Know the exam pattern

Being an engineering entrance exam, the VITEEE tests candidates knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. Additionally, the exam also has some questions on the English language. Here is the details exam pattern.

Total- 125 questions

Physics -40

Chemistry- 40

Maths- 40

English- 5

Duration- 2hours 30 minutes

  • Negative marking
There is no negative marking for wrong answers

Students who have studied PCB in 10+2 level are eligible for B.Tech Bio-Medical Engineering and Biotechnology programmes. Depending upon the subjects applied for, you can take the VITEEE 2018 PCM+English test or PCB+English test.

All the questions are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type.

  • Stay focussed and avoid distractions
Allot specific hours for studies and make sure you have no distractions during these study hours. Distractions may include TV shows, talking to friends, meeting people. Do not entertain visitors while studying, or phone calls. Social media and internet should also not be accessed during study hours, unless for academic purposes.

  • Study topic wise and stick to syllabus

It largely consists of topics you have been taught in class 11 and 12 science and mathematics. Prepare a study plan dividing all the topics and finish all the topics you have assigned in this plan on a daily / weekly basis. You should ideally complete preparation before your board exams and allot time after board exams for revision.

  • Do not panic
Studying and learning are events that should be enjoyed as a knowledge absorbing process. However due to exam pressure students are not able to do so, and instead of a healthy event, exam preparation leads to panic moments. You are bound to feel panicked at some point, but you have to overcome these moments to move forward. Believe in yourself and keep pushing harder to achieve success!

VITEEE 2018 will be an online computer based test. An online CBT is simply where questions appear on screen, you have to use the mouse to select the correct option, thats it. More than getting familiar with CBTs, your focus should be understanding the exam environment and working towards solving such types of questions which are asked in the test. Solve as many VITEEE Sample Papers and VITEEE Mock Tests as you can to do this.

  • Refer to Ncert

You need to follow ncert books and solve it to get your concepts clear and to bulid your fundamentals strong. You can also solve HC verma,RD Sharma,OP Tondon books for practice.

Good luck.
