hello,
If you've studied well for boards, then of course you can get good rank in VITEEE. Otherwise, chances are less.
1. If you're in CBSE, focus only on class 12th topics. Very less topics are from 11th like equilibrium, etc.
2. Follow the brochure and prepare accordingly.
3. If your preparation for boards was good, then it won't take much efforts.
4. VITEEE has no negative marking, hence attempt all questions. Keep margin of 5-10 min just for attempting the questions whose answer you don't know. I attempted 98 out of 120 questions and got 10k rank .
5. Solve your strong subject first and weakest subject in the end.

Dear aspirant,
Hope you are doing well. As per your query yes you have to go by NCERT Books throughly for these type of competitive exams as 90% ques comes based on NCERT topics. Cengage mathematics is also a very good book when it comes to practising but so are other support books. Set a time framework for studying only for VIT and within that time cover the topics that can come in your exam and nothing else. Take up numerous mock tests as that will gear you up for the main exam day. And atlast revise, revise and revise. Hope you find this helpful. Thank you and Good luck!
