Hi student,
First step to prepare for any exam is to have a good grasp on the syllabus as well as the paper pattern.
Paper pattern:

The time duration of the question paper will be 2 hours and timing will be from 10 am to 12 pm. There will be the provision of negative marking in the question paper and 1/4th marks of the questions will be deducted as penalty for every wrong answer.
SSC JE Paper 1 is conducted in the online mode and has three sections:
Paper-II : The second question paper will be of subjective nature and all the candidates need to have extensive knowledge of all the topics asked in the examination along with excellent writing skills. You need to go through the syllabus carefully and thoroughly and also through the previous years papers to understand the type of questions asked and difficulty level of this examination. Also, r ead newspapers, current affairs magazine, etc to keep yourself updated with all important events and issues of at least last six months. Also do not mug up things, try to clear your concepts and have your basics clear. All the formulas should be at your fingertips as many times questions are directly based on formulae and if you know it then it is easy score. Go through the previous years question papers and check the type of questions asked and their difficulty level. Solve at least 10 years previous question papers. This will improve your speed and accuracy as well as the familiarity with the paper pattern. Take mock tests as it will help you get a clear idea about where you stand and where you need to improve. You will also get used to the pressure of exam.
