How to prepare your self for admissions in mass communication filed/ college?

Mass Communication as a career involves communicating to a large group of people through various sources such as newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, films, advertisements, public relations etc. All the career options of mass communication related jobs, are meeting tight deadlines. Media people have to work under pressure as they have to meet the deadlines. A ‘news’ for instance cannot to taken lightly and put off for another day as it would become stale and won’t sell. A journalist has to rush whenever any news breaks in. He/She has a 24-hour job. A copywriter too has to meet the deadlines. Other job profiles in this field include media planner, TV producer, camera person, public relations etc.
You will have to work very hard to become successful in mass communication.

Thanks for the info. But my main focus is something related to VFX and editing.
My main concern at the moment is about what or how to prepare ourselves for the entrance exams. What all subjects or topics are required for this.
I have searched for few colleges out of which I found symbiosis really gud. So I need a clear picture regarding what to do next coz I'm a bit confused right now. (also I'm doing my +2 right now)
