Hello,

You can either get enrolled in a degree course after 12th or start professional exams to pursue an actuarial science course. There are B.Sc. or B.Com courses available in many universities such as NMIMS and Christ University, focusing on actuarial science. You may also register with professional actuarial bodies such as the Institute of Actuaries of India, which requires clearing the ACET.

The course is mathematics-intensive, with an emphasis on risk management, statistics, and financial modeling. Both science and commerce stream students who have a good mathematics background are eligible. After joining IAI, you can start professional exams leading to actuarial credentials.

Actuarial careers include insurance, pensions, risk management, and finance. For more details, refer to the Careers360 Actuarial Science Guide .
