If you wish to become a Naval Architect then you will have to follow below steps -
You will have to pursue a degree program in naval architecture approved by ABET (formerly the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology). Only those candidates that complete a training program recognized by an accrediting board such as the ABET can later take examinations administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).
Graduates of ABET-accredited naval architecture programs qualify to take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam. Administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), this exam is primarily mandatory to get the license as a professional engineer (PE).
Apply for an Entry - Level Position - As per National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) it requires 4 yrs of professional experience under the supervision of a licensed naval architect or marine engineer.
Get Licensed -
Licensure requirements and administers vary state to state so candidate has to check the same as per his eligibility and then he will have to apply.
Apply for Managerial and Supervisor position -
Once you get the apt experience you can try applying for higher level position.
