How to score 150+ in physics and chemistry in neet?
NEET 2024: Cutoff (OBC, SC, ST & General Category)
NEET 2024 Admission Guidance: Personalised | Study Abroad
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
Most important for NEET/AIIMS is your NCERT books as books include basic principles and concepts and provide accurate information. BUT KEEP IN MIND YOU HAVE TO CLEAR ENTRANCE YOU ARE NOT DOING PhDso dont go by all books mentioned here and thereKEEP NCERT + ONE REFERNCE BOOK + MAXIMUM MCQS PRACTICE = Medical SEAT Apart from this, you can add upon it by following books
Physics -
Concept of physics by H C Verma
Fundamental of Physic by Pradeep
Objective physics by DC Pandey
Chemistry -
Arihant Organic Chemistry
Dinesh Chemistry Inorganic
Physical Chemistry by O P Tandon
Objective NCERT at your fingertips Chemistry by MTG
Hope this helps!....BEST OF LUCK
It's great you have set a target to achieve in the stipulated time ahead of you.
I'd divide my answer into two parts for the subjects you've asked, keeping in mind what I had done for my entrance.
PHYSICS-
1] Understand that physics is not a demon, majority people fear this subject a little too much, and hence you'd find them struggling. If you are calm enough while dealing with the subject, you'll get a good grasp over the concepts and derivations which will help you grind your brain while solving questions.
2] Practise. I can not reiterate the essence of this more. The more you practise the stronger your concepts get and the greater your confidence is, while you attempt the questions in exam! Try different variety of questions(don't while away your precious time on the same genre of questions) try questions which have been asked so you know the level of questions asked.
3] Revision. this is particularly peculiar to this subject as you don't revise the theory here, unlike the other two subjects. I would go through the formulae and their derivation if required, but what helped me the most was seeing the solved examples, and then solving a mixed variety to check my grasp!
4] Timing. If one aims to kill it in the exam. this my friend, is the essential key to it! Most toppers say that their rank credit goes to physics. Despite their stronghold and love for the subject they'd attempt it in the last knowing that the might have to leave few questions if time didn't permit. De-facto, you aren't supposed to attempt all questions in this arena. Even the topper rarely gets it right. Whats important is that you don't let few questions consume the time of other easy ones, for the exam doesn't differentiate between easy and difficult question in terns of marks. Physics should not take more than 50-55 mins inclusive of the bubbling time.
CHEMISTRY
All the above points remain same with the following additions
PHYSICAL CHEM- You'd spend a major part of your course study reading and solving this.Read good authors(Cengage KSVerma was my fav) 40-50% questions hail from here. Like physics this area requires a lot of practise but if done correctly is scoring.
ORGANIC CHEM- Name Reactions of NCERT are a must. Try out questions of reactions in series. By heart reactions mentioned in textbook by making charts.
INORGANIC- This is somewhere you can cut the slack by not studying extra details. Irrespective of that you should be aware of compounds and elements not following the expected trends.
With all that said, never lose your touch with NCERT, I'd never discourage good reads and an inquisitive mind.
Learn and Improvise because every individual is different.
Keeping all that in mind, I'm sure success won't be far ;)
Just work hard from the starting from the very starting .
Practice from every book u can find . first focus on ur concepts read theory from ncert mainly .
Then practice ncert explorer and anybook that u find ur type ....
And all the best for ur paper
Engineering preparation would include more of mathematics and physics..but usually medival students have to bank on thwir biology anf chemistry base to do well..and also in event of a tie..those 2 subjects matter the most for a medico..and there are hundreds tied on the same score ..so you can understand the importance of what i say...
However..answer to your question
1)make your organic chemistry very string through aakash ir ncert based practice..so that you score high in that part and save time for solving the physical chemistry numericals and appled physics part
2) a key to getting high marks in vhemistry is scoring well in inorganic chemistry..consult op agarwal , tandon or kl chugh for the redox balancing and the alloy based questions..most of the marks you will lose is on ohysical chemistry numericals which is udually unavoidable
3) for a 150+ in physics..you will need to know your mechanics..static electricity and electromagnetism really well with capacitance circuits well learned..modern physics sums too...
4) time management is the key..try completing bio in 45 mins..1 hr on chem..then spend 1:15 hrs on ohysics..
Should work well ..all the best..

1.organic-question+reaction mechanism
2.inorganic-ncert is must with question practice
3.physical-max question practice
4.physic-variety of questions+max practice
- UNDERSTAND concepts instead of rote memorization. Ask your teacher to help you understand key concepts. GO TO HIM/HER WITH DOUBTS. Never feel embarrassed or feel you're wasting his time. PLEASE TRUST ME
- SOLVE A LOT OF MCQs. The more you have practice the better. SOLVE NCERT book questions they are very concept based.
- Always approach physics as a FUN Puzzle based subject. And before you know it you'll start enjoying it.
Chemistry has a lot of concept involved but certain parts like inorganic can be very factual and memory based. Again the same advice.
-Again focus on NCERT books because they are very helpful for NEET.
-Go to your teacher with your doubts.
- Follow the material provided by your tuition/coaching centre along with NCERT.
1) RIGHT GUIDANCE - This is the first and foremost requirement. Since you're sure about what you plan to pursue after class 12, you might be taking classes from some renowned coaching institution. The key is to introspect, if the methodology of the teacher is in sync with your levels of understanding. If not, let the teacher know where you are facing trouble.
2) CLEAR YOUR DOUBTS - Mind you, this is the MOST IMPORTANT aspect of your preparation, irrespective of the nature of the exam you intend to crack. When you sit to solve MCQs, try as hard as you can to get a grip on the concept and apply them well, but DO NOT WASTE ALL YOUR TIME ON A SINGLE QUESTION. Instead, ask your mentor to guide you through the process. Your teacher will be happy to help.
3)STICK TO THE STUDY MATERIAL YOUR INSTITUTE PROVIDES YOU - Well, this one step is a little tricky since a lot depends on how well the institute prepares your study materials. Since it worked for me, I'd prefer sharing this piece of information with you as well. A lot of people recommend numerous books, that'll only leave you baffled. DO NOT GO WITH THE FLOW. Ask your mentor if following a particular book apart from your study material is worth your time and effort. If it is, then go ahead.
Quite a number of times, I've emphasized on maintaining better terms with your mentor, be it clearing your doubts or following a particular study material. It is only because this has proved really helpful for Me in the long run. This may or may not be useful for you, nonetheless do consider trying.
4) MAKE A NOTE OF YOUR MISTAKES - You might be appearing for various class tests or topic based exams in your institute. You might be making mistakes as well. All of this is pretty natural and obvious, but what will make a difference between you and your colleagues is YOUR FOLLOW UP ACTION after your exams are over. As tedious as it might sound, always consider to make a note of your mistakes religiously a day try not to repeat them again when the same question is asked in the future examinations.
Remember, WINNERS DON'T DO DIFFERENT THINGS, THEY DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY!
Cheers!
