All the Best.
If you wanna score more than 500 in NEET 2018, you need to be willing to work hard, make sacrifices and show discipline.
The recipe to success for NEET is to know it's a marathon you are running. It's not a sprint.
The following ingredients in order of priority, will help you realise your dreams and goals:
1. SELF BELIEVE . The most important thing. On some days you will doubt yourself, don't give up. If you fall down, get back up and keep on going. Watch motivation videos and do positive visualisations. It will help you guys form a subconscious belief of success and wiring your brain to work hard.
2. Discipline. Schedule. Remember it's a marathon and you need to train for it. So have a schedule because over time it becomes a habit and following the schedule only becomes easier over time. Generally speaking, first 50-60 days are difficult to form the habit and you need self control. That's where you show discipline and strictness with yourself. After that magic number the schedule and habit is ingrained in your head and it only gets easier.
3. CONCEPTS over rote memorisation. Solve a lot of MCQS. Clear doubts. Never be ashamed of clearing your doubts but be proud of it. Always clear doubts. Explain concepts to your friends it's a hack to help you memorise in the long run by taking those concepts to your long term memory.
4. HARD WORK. CONSISTENCY. FALLING DOWN, GETTING BACK UP. NEVER QUITTING. SELF BELIEVE. It's a marathon remember. There are gonna be days when you would wanna quit but don't give in. SELF BELIEVE and a positive attitude along with hard work will take you to your dreams.
5. Take breaks . Some physical activity everyday would help a lot to reduce stress and make you feel relaxed and euphoric. Anything from playing a sport to cycling, walking in public gardens or running, yoga etc.
6. Accurate Self Assesment Solving a lot of old question papers, mcqs will help you know where you stand. Always do this in a timed fashion and don't cheat yourself by refering to books while testing yourself. You could also join a Test series in a coaching institute. Also knowing where you stand will help you motivate to work harder and can be like a feedback mechanism to guide you.
Biology - it is the most scoring subject. By reading the question you know if you can answer it or not.
Most common mistake- you know the answer but you are not sure so either you waste your time on recalling or you go along with the best guess. Both the situations can prove to be fatal.
So read and learn thoroughly and practice.
Chemistry - different topics require different techniques to be solved. But you still have to learn things.
For example if you are not sure of what reagent does what then you'll lose marks in organic. If you are not thorough with periodic table, well you sure will have difficulty in mastering inorganic.
So read your books and practice regularly.
Physics
Be sure to know the basic formulas. With sufficient practice you'll start to develop your own shortcut ways to solve the problems.
So learn good and practice hard. Keep a track of your own progress to know your weak points and work on them.
Best of luck!
In most states getting 500+ would guarantee a medical seat. I'll share what my professors would say
PMT (Pre medical tests) are theory based testing ur memory unlike analytical qns in JEE
So, main focus is biology
Covers 90 qns(50%), answer 75 correctly, say 15qns are tough 75*4=300
Without negative markings
Chemistry, again 45 qns, answer 30 ,say 15 r tough correctly 30*4=120
Physics, now 300+120=420
Goal is to get minimum 80 marks
Even simple, 20/45 to be correct, anything above is bonus round..
Focus on accuracy and reducing - ve marks, feel free to ask any other queries in the comments.
All the best...
