H ey Shubhajit!
What will decide whether you crack the exams or not is your own diligence and hard work. You have the sufficient material to prepare for it, so don’t worry about that. Technically speaking you don’t need more than NCERT. But referance books help a lot with practice.
Keep going for the MCQs available in the books And the previous year papers.
I hope this helps.
All the best!
BIOLOGY: NCERT is your bible,Read every word of it thoroghly
PHYSICS: past questions, MCQs and solve problems
CHEMISTRY: organic&physical - make sure concepts are thorough!! practice past Qs!! inorganic-ncert only
read NCERT WORD BY WORD
also, try to just search the keywords in NCERT on net & have a basic extra knowledge about them
Yes,
word by word NCERT would be enough for NEET
if you have time then only read from outside.
Dont forget to practise last year papers.
Hi
your ncert concepts have to be perfectly clear. for biology i suggestyou to get some coaching class material like allen or aakash. the biology asked in NEET has more indepth knowledge which u will need to know. ncert is sufficient enough to pass but there are minute things which gives a difference of marks. so if u want to be thorough, i suggest you to buy any of the materials i suggested.
goodluck!
Most important for NEET/AIIMS is your NCERT books as books include basic principles and concepts and provide accurate information.
BUT KEEP IN MIND YOU HAVE TO CLEAR ENTRANCE YOU ARE NOT DOING PhDso dont go by all books mentioned here and there
KEEP NCERT + ONE REFERNCE BOOK + MAXIMUM MCQS PRACTICE = Medical SEAT
Apart from this, you can add upon it by following books
Biology -
Truemans Biology Vol. 1 & 2
Objective Biology by Dinesh
Pradeep Publications Biology
Physics -
Concept of physics by H C Verma
Fundamental of Physic by Pradeep
Objective physics by DC Pandey
Chemistry -
Arihant Organic Chemistry
Dinesh Chemistry Inorganic
Physical Chemistry by O P Tandon
Objective NCERT at your fingertips Chemistry by MTG
General Knowledge -It would be better be uptodate by reading newspaper on daily basis, current affairs magazine {specially science section}
Hope this helps!....BEST OF LUCK
You can get 320+ in bio if you have understood everything given in ncert. As you are not always going to get a straight question from ncert , questions are actually based on the content from ncert and concept based on it.
And i am actually surprised that you think it is easy to mugup everything in the book.
I wish you understand and then absorb it so that you give your best.
So BETTER UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GIVEN IN NCERT INSTEAD OF TRYING TO MUG UP EVERYTHING
Well if you replace the word mug up with understand .then you can surely get the desired marks.
All the best
I hope it helps
Have made my own notes on each and every line from NCERT bio,
And for understanding last year have watched all the videos from EXAMFEAR bio which is completely based on NCERT.
But people around including some teachers and some who answered my question here also said that its impossible to score that much without their notes or modules from Allen or akash .
So for bio part I was making sure ...
And thanks a lot :-)
So alongside ncert try to have some extra sugar of knowledge in your cup of tea.AND BE CAUTIOUS FOR PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY.They are not to be taken lightly, since most medical aspirants do better in bio, but physics and chemistry marks determine their ranks. For chemistry NCERT will be your best companion with a few other reference books specially for Organic chemistry. Your desired marks in Physics can be easily achieved by selective preparation of chapters, but do try to secure best marks.Regularly take online or offline tests.Month before NEET, practice previous year question papers again and again and familiarise yourself with the type of questions asked.Last but not the least, i would like to advise you to aim for a more better mark, since 500 is not a pretty good score to assure you a seat in a govt.medical college( if you belong to general category ) ;as per this year's statistics.
Hope this helps.
Though neet is completely biased on NCERT you need some practice for MCQs answering ... for that you can definitely use the help of other books.
:-)
Physics- Focus on core concepts.. Conceptual books like hc verma will go a long way for this. But first always start with NCERT. Practice a lot of questions.
Chemistry - Inorganic and physical chemistry in ncert is very good.. But have multiple rounds of reading for this.As for organic chemistry.,it is very important to make ur base strong.. Pradeep or mtg books are good..
Biology - Now ur second question.. Well no, ncert is not sufficient to score a 320 in biology. U will have to read more from ur study materials.. Books by trueman publications are really good. As for objectives, dinesh publications is good.
Therefore, additional resources are a must. Do one mcq book thoroughly and in addition - go through coaching modules.
Would indeed be helpful
I got 316 in bio , 119 in chem , 137 in physics ..
Ncert is enough to get this much but don't even think for a second that ncert has less knowledge .
For physics u just need some extra book to practice questions as that is the only way to score in physics .
For bio I asure u ncert is enough .
For chemistry read inorganic from ncert but u have to practice organic and physical if u want a good score I lacked some marks in chemistry because my organic was week ....
Tell me if have any other problem ...
I have made my own notes from each and every line of NCERT(bio), so rather than reading a single extra word from any other sources i want to spent my time on my notes. Actually have used the wrong word mugup
Last year have almost clear the concepts on bio from videos of EXAM FEAR which is completely based on NCERT within the last 4 months with notes. The only problem I faced for Bio in exam that I couldn't retain .
People around me all are telling that it's impossible without extra notes of coaching , akash module etc etc
So it lowered my confidence on bio .
Doesn't matter what people say they just know how to criticise someone . Focus on ur notes and work hard .
If u r not able to retain things then u must try practicing questions from any of the book.
Practice gives u confidence and u will be able to reatain information in form of questions because practically it is quite difficult to retain whole of the chapter as paragraphs ...
So practice questions and discuss topics with ur friends .
Ask any of ur family member or friend to listen to u and try to teach them any topic because it is scientifically proven that we retain things better if we teach them .
U will surely do good in this NEET .
All the best ......
All the best for ur exams
I'm sorry just mugging NCERT will not get you to reach Ur target of 320+ in biology ...agreed that most of the syllabus is based on NCERT but the scope can be very vast and just cause something isn't mentioned in NCERT doesn't mean it cannot be asked ...I suggest AAKASH study materials .. great for biology with lots of information and classification ..And to reach your required target a lot of papers have to be solved because just reading from the book you will not be able to approach the question ...
All the best !
Any further questions ping me !

You got to work hard a lot to achieve the score you desire.
For bio :
Read Ncert as many times as you can. Pinpoint the imp notes and you can also note down small one liners on the book itself.
You should revise it at least 10 times. Some people even revise 30-40 times Initially it'll take time but as you go on, You'll pick the pace and it'll take less time than earlier.
For chem and physics:
Conceptual topics. Clear the concepts first which you lack in. Once you've cleared the concept, try solving problems. Primarily Read NCERT thoroughly I'll recommend Dinesh for chemistry since it'll take you level wise as easy, medium and hard questions. Do this on a routine basis and boom you'll see the improvement.
Phy- clear the concepts first from Ncert and hc Verma. Then try solving problems and as you go on you'll see improvement in yourself.
Some tips :
Do 2 subjects daily.
Make and Follow a timetable.
Anyhow solve 100 problems each of physics and chem daily.
Revise bio as much as possible.
Take every exam seriously and learn from your mistakes. If you're making same mistakes repeatedly its your fault.
Stay disciplined in your schedule.
Lastly, be honest with yourself and trust your hard work.
Good luck.
I would like to advise you that by mugging up NCERT you would not be able to fetch you marks .
Because neet questions are conceptual. You need to have crystal clear concepts.
Coming to your question of scoring 320 + in biology would be easily possible if you go only with NCERT
But the fact is you should understand the concept well and you need to apply it. Revision is also important to score high.
Harshita Jain (CR@campus career).
Thank you for asking your doubt.
For scoring 320+ in biology, you need to know each n every sentence given in the ncert also you will need mcq from all the chapters of biology. You should remember all the diagrams .for chemistry the trick is slightly different because you will need to comprehend the logic behind all the organic reactions and solve a lot of problems from physical chemistry.read inorganic chemistry everyday, mug up the concepts.
Physics if the most trickiest subject as you will require to practise physic daily,i suggest try solving 50 problems daily.remember the units and values of constants.they also tend to ask dimension analysis alot..so be well prepared.
This practise will surely fetch you a good seat in the college you wish!
Hope my answer was helpful

for chemistry Ncert is enough no need to go anywhere and read extra .
and for physics seeing ur aim Ncert concepts are far more good for scoring ur target.
M solving MTG's prev years questions of last 10 years,
For chm prev years questions will be enough or have to solve the allen module(i have)
For phy i have selected some specific chapters like Heat, optics ,modern phy, waves andcurrent electricity
And I'm solving the allen module from examples to beginners box and prev year (will it be sufficient??)
