I always recommend you to follow the classic books for the JEE preparation. Read from NCERT as a base and then keep on reading from those classic books. Slowly, you will understand the concept well. Now JEE demands problem solving skills so practicing problems is mandatory. Keep up practicing a lot of problems from different books. You don't have over do anything. The syllabus you will read for 11 is in JEE. So the chapter you read prepare it more thoroughly keeping in mind about JEE. This will increase your understanding as well as you will score good in your 11th as well as in JEE MAINS. The same strategy applies for 12th. Giving mock tests is really important. There are numerous online and offline you should go for them and this will manage your problem solving skills in a stipulated time condition.
