With colleges starting their semester exams in May-June, it is advisable to wrap up your preparation , slightly ahead of time. Consider giving your GRE in by April-May and your TOEFL , 2 weeks after that. This will give you sufficient time to prepare for GRE and TOEFL thoroughly during February, March & April.
There is no age and qualification based eligibility criteria to take the GRE. The universities accepting a GRE score will however have pre-defined eligibility criteria. Kindly check university websites before applying.

The preperation for TOEFL and GRE should start as soon as possible as the syllabus is vast and needs to be practiced throughout. TOEFL requires reading, writing, speaking and listening preperation to be done separately. The GRE 2018 General Test evaluates an aspirant's verbal, quantitative, critical thinking and analytical writing skills which are compiled in three sections- Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning and Analytical Writing. The GRE Subject Test, on the other hand, measures a candidate’s knowledge in specific fields. They are: Biology, Chemistry, Literature in English, Mathematics, Physics and Psychology.
