How this program does benefits the students:
Hey! You should first try to understand what you want to study. Narrowing down on your field of interest is very important as only basis that can you choose which countries to target and which colleges/ programs to apply to. Depending on these decisions you will have to ace the SAT or ACT and make your application tailored to the particular exam. You should also look for the financial aspect of things and try to figure if you can get any scholarships and apply for those in advance. It helps a lot to be preparing in advance for these tests as well. During all this an experienced counsellor can help a lot. I took help of Inspirus Education during my study abroad planning and ended up in Purdue University :) Best decision of my life to be honest!
Hello Aparna,
There are two routes you can follow to study abroad after 12th.
1. If you are applying for a program in countries such as USA, UK or Canada, you are required to submit test scores for uiversally recognised UG admission tests such as ACT or SAT . Depending on the minimum score requirement of the specific universitiy and program of application, you can then gain admission using your ACT or SAT score.
2. If you are applying to countries which accept admissions directly through Indian senior secondary qualification such as Germany, Ireland and New Zealand, then you don't need to take the SAT or ACT exam. Instead, the specific university website will generally have details on the minimum percentage that you require (AISSC and ISC are the most widely accepted qualifications.
All universities also accept students with an International Baccalaureate (IB) score. Additionally, you will be required to submit English Langauge proficiency test scores from either IELTS , TOEFL or PTE . Some universities do not require these scores and instead consider a minimum percentage in English in your senior secondary as sufficient English language proficiency proof.
