Hello M Areeb,

Studying abroad is a great option, student who study abroad holistically develop into better individuals as they learn how to practically apply knowledge in all domains of their lives.

There are multiple international exams which will help you attain a good college/university like SAT, ACT, TOEFL and IELTS for undergraduate level education, and GRE, GMAT, TOEFL and IELTS for postgraduate level education.

What do these exams test?

  • SAT - It tests Critical Reading, Math and Writing.
  • ACT- It tests English, Math, Reading and Science.
  • TOEFL - It tests your Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing of the English language.
  • IELTS - It tests your Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing of the English language.
  • GRE - It tests your critical thinking, analytical writing, verbal reasoning, and quantitative reasoning skills.
  • GMAT - It tests in you in the following sections analytical writing assessment, an integrated reasoning section, a quantitative section, and a verbal section.

Undergraduate Course Expenses;

  • America (USA) - Tution expenses vary from $10,000 to $50,000 (i.e. Rs. 7,10,300 to Rs. 35,51,500); Living Expenses vary from $8,000 to $12,000 (i.e. Rs. 5,68,240 to Rs. 8,52,360)
  • United Kingdom - Tution fee ranges from £10,000 to £38,000 (i.e. Rs. 9,08,846 to Rs. 34,53,616)
  • Australia - Tution fee ranges from 15000 AUD to 33000 AUD (i.e Rs. 7,56,825 to Rs. 16,65,015)

These are yearly fee ranges of three of the most preferred places for higher education. A course of 3-4 years will cost you around a crore (including tution and living charges only)

Post-graduate Course Expenses:

  • America (USA) - Tution fee ranges between $20,000 $30,000 (i.e. Rs. 14,20,000 to Rs. 21,30,000)
  • United Kingdom - Tution fee ranges between 6,000 to 10,000 (i.e. Rs. 5,44,977 to Rs. 9,08,295)
  • Australia - Tution fee ranges between 14,000 AUD to 37,000 AUD (i.e. Rs. 7,06,370 to Rs. 18,66,835)

The tution fees of undergraduate and postgraduate levels are nearly the same, thus if you go for both Undergraduate and postgraduate level of education abroad you will end up spending 2-3 crores.

All the best!

I hope this helps!

Dear Areeb, you haven't mentioed your highest qualification and you also haven't mentioned the course that you want to pursue and the country that you want to study in. In general terms, you have to choose the course and the University that you want to study in. You should make a note of their eligibility requirements. Every University will have its own requirement even for the same course. You should have a stron Statement of Purpose. You should have real good scores in English Proficienct tests like TOEFL, IELTS,ets. For admission in European Countries, you should have proficiency of the language of that country. You will need language certifications as a proof of that. Once you send them the application forms, if you are selected, you will have to apply for a student visa for that particular country. Regarding the cost, talking in general without knowing the course that you want to study and the country you are interested in, it becomes difficult to guess.
